Community Coming Together

A facilitated interactive dialogue and workshop around race, gentrification, and history of NE Portland

If you are a long and short-term resident, a local business owner, a local organization, a parent, or a stakeholder within this community, we are inviting you to have a direct role in this interactive community dialogue and workshop. We desire to bring voices, perspectives, and stories together and leave with new understanding, hope, and individual/group assessment on how we can each affect change or share our influence outside of this circle of dialogue.

This is a free event hosted by the Portland Playhouse in co-sponsorship with our community partners. Space is limited so please RSVP at to guarantee your place in this interactive discussion and workshop.

It is important that this dialogue/workshop reflects a diverse representation of participants, so use this event as an opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or family member who can enrich this dialogue with their voice!!

Let not Martin Luther King, Jr.’s holiday be the only time we come together; but rather, let everyday be a HOLIDAY in our community to celebrate and foster:

Saturday, February 20,  1 to 5pm
602 NE Prescott Street

Due to the intense nature of this dialogue and required participant engagement, please make prior childcare arrangements.

Light food/beverage and Spanish translation will be provided.
